Welcome to the HG blog post series, #MeetTeamHG, where we will be posting an interview with each person on our executive team!
Tate joined Harvest Growth as a Creative Project Manager in December 2022 after being in the commercial real estate field for over five years. Growing up in a small town, she has always had a wanderer spirit with an eagerness to travel the world and learn new things. As the Creative Project Manager, that spirit shines through with each project we work on. Tate’s favorite things to do outside of work are spending quality time with family and friends, hiking, and traveling!
Learn more about Tate in her team interview below!
How long have you been in the marketing/advertising industry?
I’ve been in marketing since 2017, working in the commercial real estate field. I’m excited to be a part of Harvest Growth, helping many brands achieve their marketing goals.
What advice would you give yourself if you could go back to Day 1 of your career?
Believe in yourself and don’t let imposter syndrome hold you back from your career goals.
Where did you grow up?
I grew up in a small town called Waupaca, Wisconsin. Where the summers were spent with beautiful lakes, pine trees, and campfires. The winters were a little bit cold and lasted for a few months, who am I kidding, the winters were cold and long, but we had the Green Bay Packers and cheese to hold us over until summer rolled around again!
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
When I came to Colorado for college it was the first-time people started saying I looked like Amy Poehler. I guess I should have tried a career in acting, maybe I could have played her daughter!
Favorite recent brand experience?
I’m a big fan of Etsy. I know that it's many different brands on one site, but I appreciate that Etsy made a platform where any artist can share their work with the world.
What would you name the autobiography of your life?
I would name it “Wanderer” – the story of a small-town girl who traveled big to find herself – The Autobiography of Tate Walkush.
Favorite quote?
“The most beautiful things in life are not things. They’re people and places, memories and pictures. They’re feelings and moments and smiles and laughter.” - Unknown
If you could go to any concert (dead or alive), who would it be?
Jewel. My mom played her every weekend morning on the boombox to get me and my siblings up. Que nostalgia!
What is your hidden talent?
I love to dance. Put on any song, I can come up with an entire dance in minutes!
What would you do if you won $1,000,000?
The first three things I would do, talk to a financial advisor (boring, I know), invest most of the money, and lastly take my dream vacation to Greece.
